Greetings Theta Alpha Alumnus!
Fifty years ago, a group of young men at Ball State University were initiated into the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity –
becoming the Indiana Theta Alpha chapter. Since then, more than 700 others have joined our brotherhood.
This October 28-30, we will gather in Muncie for our 50th Anniversary reunion to celebrate our past, revel in the
present, and look forward to the future.
We want you to join us for this celebration. It’s important that you attend.
The 50th Anniversary Committee – composed of alumni Jeff De Witt, Tom Perkins, Gary Voreis, Steve Nall,
Rusty Bruce, Todd Stallings, Al Zmyslo, Tyler Severson, and John Baker, along with under-grads Jake Hamm,
Andrew Zangri and Jack Musial – has been working on this event for more than a year. We are excited to
present a memorable weekend of festive events.
These events are highlighted in the linked relaunch of The Binder newsletter – replete with an all new look and feel. Monthly issues building up to our 50th Anniversary will take a nostalgic look back at five decades of memories. Subsequent issues will focus more on current chapter news and events, as well as developing plans for the future.
On the bottom left of the front cover of this issue, you will find a link that routes you to the atobsu.org website
(handsomely updated by Rusty Bruce) where you’ll see the 50th Anniversary event registration page. The schedule of events – full of activity options – culminates with a banquet on Saturday evening.
Please use this link to register today – a nominal fee for the Banquet can be conveniently paid using PayPal, Venmo or by sending a check.
Enjoy this issue of The Binder. We hope the memories will help bring you back to Muncie this Fall to celebrate Alpha Tau Omega at Ball State.
Love & Respect,
Steve Nall (Theta, 1976)
